Liturgy

Liturgy is the combination of scripture reading and responses which is the foundation of Lutheran worship. Literally, the word “liturgy” means “the work of the people.” We take that seriously and practice the “priesthood of all believers” by encouraging the involvement of as many lay leaders as possible each time we gather to worship our Lord.

The words we speak in worship, the words of our liturgy in our greetings, responses and canticles, come directly from the Bible.
