Easter Morning Schedule:
9:00 AM-10:00 AM– Easter Breakfast and Flowering of the Cross (bring fresh flowers to decorate the cross as a sign of Life overcoming death).
10:00–10:15 AM – Easter Egg Hunt
10:15 AM – Celebration Worship with Holy Communion
We will gather in silence and hear again the account of Jesus’ arrest, trial, and crucifixion. The sanctuary will be stripped bare, lit only by candlelight, as we mark the depth of his suffering and love.
This is a contemplative service—quiet, unhurried, and reflective.
On this night, we are invited to keep watch with Christ…
to listen, to pray, and to remain present at the cross.
On this night, we hear Jesus’ command to love and serve one another as he has served us. Together, we will remember the Last Supper and the gift of his presence among us.
This service will include:
Holy Communion
Individual Absolution with the Laying on of Hands
Scripture, prayer, and quiet reflection
Come and receive grace. Come and be renewed for the journey to the cross.
Our service opens with the Blessing of the Palms and a child’s reading of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem—a moment of celebration as we wave palms and sing “Hosanna.”
Then, the tone shifts.
In place of a sermon, we will hear the full story of Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion as told in the Gospel according to Matthew. Together, we walk the path from praise to the cross.
Holy Communion will be celebrated.

This is not a service of shame. It is a service of grounding. We come to set down the burdens we carry, to hear again the mercy of God, and to begin the journey toward Easter with open hearts.
The service includes scripture, confession, reflection, the optional mark of ashes on your forehead, and Holy Communion. You are welcome to participate at whatever level feels comfortable.
The 7:00PM service will include music and singing while the 12:30PM service does not.

Always wanted to study the Bible, but just couldn't do it? Well here is a pain-free and (I guarantee) enjoyable way to learn more about Jesus, his disciples, his life and times and what it all means for you! THE CHOSEN is a worldwide phenomenon that is currently spreading the gospel message all over the world! It is a creative and imaginative interpretation of the Jesus event - a piece of religious art, as it were, that will connect you to Jesus and his ministry in a brand new, exciting and comfortable way. We will meet at 11:00 a.m. and watch the very first Season, Episodes 1 and 2 (about 45 mins each). Then we'll chat about it, putting the story in its historical, religious and cultural context. Any and all questions are welcome. Engaging. Educational. Emotional. Relational. Come and See what The Chosen experience can be!
Receive the cross of ashes that remind us that “we are dust, and to dust we shall return” and an invitation to the practices of Lent within a service of Holy Communion. All are welcome at the Lord’s table of life, love and forgiveness.

Come and hear the Christmas story again and celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. In place of the liturgy we will be alternating readings from scripture with the singing of our favorite Christmas hymns.
Come and worship with us as we await the coming of Christ, Immanuel, God with us. Holy Communion, a Christmas message by our pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alix D. Pridgen , your favorite Christmas hymns and beautiful seasonal music.
There will be ONE worship service on Dec. 20th at 9:30 AM followed by a fellowship potluck meal from 10:45 to noon. In lieu of a sermon we will be enacting the Christmas Story and we have costumes for everyone. It's your chance to play any role you like (no lines!) -- even if we have five Mary's and a dozen Inn Keepers. : ) There's room for all.
Heritage Festival is our annual Christmas potluck dinner. Bring a dish from your own heritage or family traditions (or even something pre-made from the store!)

The voices of our founding fathers and the voices of scripture come together in dialogue in this Sunday's Celebration of Freedom and Independence as we reflect on what it means to be citizens of the Kingdom of God and members of the Body of Christ. Holy Communion will be celebrated. Fellowship and refreshments will follow both services. Come! Worship with us!
